FinTech lab to be created in Uzbekistan

The first FinTech lab in Uzbekistan was announced at the ‘Open Innovations in the Banking Section’ session of the International Press Club. The FinTech lab will focus on facilitating the creation and testing of new FinTech technologies and products as well as foster an atmosphere of cooperation between technology suppliers, FinTech creators and FinTech users. The lab is expected to begin its work on various solutions related to customer identification and biometrics. So far, 25 experts and 60 consultants from different countries have signed on to contribute in this regard.

The FinTech lab was developed jointly by Finastra (United Kingdom) and IDEMIA (France) under the leadership of the National Agency for Project Management. One of the more innovative ideas of the lab is the creation of a FinTech school to provide education and awareness to various companies’ top management. The school is being developed by experts from Harvard, Oxford and other leading universities from around the globe.
