AccountScore, together with The Insolvency Panel, has announced the launch of the first ever open banking service designed to help people get out of debt. The service auto-populates consumer income and expenditure information from current accounts and offers them access to face-to-face and telephone debt advisors. Insolvency practitioners and debt management plan administrators will also be able to benefit from accurate information throughout the life of an arrangement.
Currently, customers seeking debt advice are required to go through repeated and lengthy processes over the phone to provide their full income and expenditure information, an often inaccurate process. This new service will allow debt advisors to already have that information and be able to spend more time helping people find solutions to get out of debt.
