A new universal scoring platform has been presented in Kyrgyzstan as part of the \u2018Eurasian Digital Platforms\u2019 international competition. The new platform uses data from communications operators, credit bureaus and other sources to score potential borrowers and has the goal of becoming a universal scoring platform used throughout the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Once adopted, the platform will help increase the availability of banking and insurance services for a greater number of people as well as reduce loan delinquencies. The platform will introduce uniform standards for scoring potential borrowers, facilitate better data exchanges related to borrower scoring and help develop credit histories. This is a priority for countries that currently have a lack of available, reliable data.<\/p>\n

The first prototype of the new platform is being prepared for launch in Kyrgyzstan, in partnership with one of the country’s cellular operators.<\/p>\n
