Currently, innovations in this area are actively developing; however, a draft decision by Russia\u2019s state commission on radio frequencies regarding the mandatory registration of base stations in the 868 MHz range (used in many industries in IoT projects for communication between remote objects) and restrictions stating that operators must use Russian-only equipment are threatening to kill this emerging sphere before it really gets going. Innovative startups and laboratories working with this frequency are a living environment from which fully-grown businesses can grow, and compulsory registration can simply kill it.
