This measure is part of a response to address systemic flaws and problems that hinder the flow of qualified labor and financial resources into the country. The decree will significantly reduce necessary paperwork for highly-qualified foreign specialists, extend maximum periods for which they can legally reside in Uzbekistan and make it easier for their families to reside in the country with them.
