In particular, Gen Z does not see work as an end unto itself. For Gen Z, work is a way to improve and diversify life. In order to keep Gen Z workers engaged and attract them, companies must prepare for them. Here are 5 key things to keep in mind about Gen Z workers:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Happiness over career \u2013 Gen Z measures success by diversity of life and happiness. Provide Gen Z with new and interesting opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social projects \u2013 Gen Z is socially-engaged and cares about the world around it. They prefer to work (and engage) with companies that share their commitment to social and environmental concerns.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Loyalty \u2013 Gen Z prefers to stay loyal to employers if possible. Offer progressive development to keep Gen Z workers happy and productive over the long haul.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technology \u2013 Gen Z grew up with technology and does not know a world without everything at your fingertips. Keep in mind that they not only know technology well but will likely become frustrated by systems and processes that don\u2019t maximize its potential.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Multi-tasking \u2013 Gen Z was raised in a world of massive stimulation. As such, they are capable of (and thrive on) multitasking.
