In an increasingly digital world, people are expecting more from the technologies they use every day, and customers are increasingly becoming \u201chybrid\u201d, i.e. using both online and offline solutions. As part of this digital revolution, the government is concentrating efforts to aid in this transition. The top priority is to protect customers via a common identification system, a sort of biometric passport based on voice recognition and facial scans. The government is also working with banks to develop a new generation platform that will allow for real-time payments to be made using a mobile device, including payments between to citizens (P2P transfers). The National Bank has also launched a mobile application that allows users to receive financial market news and ask questions directly to the National Bank. It is expected that, as IT developments continue to gain in popularity in the country and people\u2019s demand increases, the speed and ease of dealing with finances in Kazakhstan will greatly improve.<\/p>\n
