The Bank of Cyprus, in cooperation with Gemalto, has developed the world\u2019s first EMV biometric cards, which use fingerprint recognition instead of a PIN code to authenticate cardholders. Gemalto\u2019s biometric sensor payment card is designed to provide maximum security and data privacy while also allowing for a better user experience and enabling higher transaction amounts.
