RegTech startups that offer solutions for financial regulatory requirements are being invited to join Accenture’s sixth FinTech Innovation Lab for the first time. Accenture made the decision to increase in the number of RegTech startups because the financial industry is facing “unprecedented levels of regulation”. During the three-month accelerator program, RegTech startups will be partnered with bank and insurance executives in order to fine-tune and further develop their technologies and business models.
The short-listed RegTech startups for the program include companies working on solutions such as using analytics and robotics to automate compliance processes, using artificial intelligence to detect financial crime and fraud, helping insurers predict and price cyber risks, using blockchain solutions to verify digital identities and secure payments and developing financial management platforms across connected devices.
