Azerbaijan considering mutual recognition of e-signatures

The Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies of Azerbaijan is negotiating the mutual recognition of signatures with Iran, Qatar, Turkey and Ukraine. Azerbaijan has also signed an agreement with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey to create the necessary conditions for the mutual recognition of e-signatures between those countries.
Work is also underway to develop e-services and e-commerce with the help of the European Union (EU), which will help develop Azerbaijan’s electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions.
