Banking Customers in Search of More Personalized Financial Advice

According to digital banking research conducted by Sopra Banking Software, most banking customers (70%) are looking for more personalized financial advice from their financial institutions. In particular, banking customers want financial institutions to incorporate “hints” and “nudges” similar to those offered by online platforms like Netflix and Spotify. The research also found that 36% of banking customers check their account on a daily basis and expect more personalized services overall, including loyalty programs that earn money, alerts on potential financial issues and recommendations for daily money management.

The research was conducted on 12,500 banking customers in 14 countries.
