Payme has announced that Visa, MasterCard and Mir card holders can now transfer funds to Uzcard, with funds being automatically converted into the local currency. To receive a transfer, the user of the Uzcard application needs to request an amount and indicate the card to which the money will be sent. The system will then create a check and send a request for authorization to the international card holder. The sender does not need to download the Payme application; they just need to enter the required data sent via a link.
While transfers are currently only available from the international cards to Uzcard, the company plans on launching outgoing transfers from a local card to an international one in the near future. The company also has plans to connect JCB and China Union Pay cards to the system as well.
