The unexpected war in Ukraine has caused a refugee crisis on a scale not seen in modern Europe, leaving many scrambling to understand the financial needs of refugees as well as what measures need to be taken by authorities and financial service providers to better support refugee access to financial and non-financial services. In response, Triple Jump and Microfinance Centre (MFC) have partnered with Business & Finance Consulting (BFC) to develop the Refugee Finance in Times of Uncertainty: Mitigating Risks and Identifying Opportunities webinar series. On May 24, 2022, a panel of international experts will discuss the key issues and risks financial service providers in Eastern Europe and Central Asia are facing, how their portfolios are already (and will continue to be) impacted and what short-, medium- and long-term solutions they have at their disposal to confront the new reality that is emerging. Register here.
You are also invited to view the first session of the webinar series as well as the presentation used during the session, which took place on April 26, 2022.
We look forward to seeing you there!
