Banco Santander in the UK is offering a first-of-its-kind data science apprenticeship to non-graduates. The program, being operated in conjunction with WhiteHat, will allow the bank to build a pipeline of data savvy employees, something in line with its EUR 20 billion digital transformation effort. The program also highlights the value of apprenticeship programs as a source of attracting and developing new, often incredible, talent. Everyone involved in the program will receive a coach to help them fulfill their potential, and technical boot camps will help turn them into accomplished data specialists.
