A new model of business education in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan has embarked on an effort to ensure adequately-trained professionals are available for Uzbek businesses following a severe shortage of such personnel in the country. To accomplish this, Uzbekistan must ensure that there are competent teachers in each educational area and that existing enterprises are invested in the educational process. This can only occur if business education is concentrated in the hands of the private sector as non-state schools have repeatedly demonstrated a higher competency in effectively training business leaders and working with the business community. In the end, the business community should be driving business education as it knows much better than any state authority the needs and requirements for business to thrive in the country.
