Alfa-Bank leading Belarus into a fintech future

Andrey Kosach, top manager and board member of Belarus’s Alfa-Bank, has observed that fintech in Belarus has been gaining traction in recent years and believes that this momentum will continue. He hopes that his bank will remain at the forefront of this movement. To this end, Alfa-Bank was one of the first in the country to open its API for third-party mobile applications as a way to encourage startups and fintech innovations. The bank is also open for cooperation with startups and fintech companies and is providing its expertise within numerous projects it considers will add value to its clients’ lives. Mr. Kosach hopes that, through leading by example, Alfa-Bank will encourage innovators to better understanding banking in the country as well as help banks overcome their conservative nature and embrace what fintech can do for the daily lives of Belarusians.
