More than 100 programmers participate in Fintechstars hackathon held in Almaty

The Fintechstars hackathon took place in Almaty and featured 100 programmers working to develop financial technology projects. During the 48-your hackathon, participants proposed various projects, including many for services to identify borrowers and potential borrowers on social network sites like Facebook and Instagram. The top 4 projects shared a prize of KZT 1,000,000 as well as the chance to further cooperate with hackathon organizers and partners. The top 4 projects were:

• A mobile application that incorporates machine learning to improve collateral assessment
• A service to enhance credit ratings of potential borrowers from their social media accounts
• A payment system using QR code
• An automation service for trader and micro-enterprise account books
