Universities worldwide facing increased cryptocurrency and blockchain demand

According to a recent study, well-known universities around the world are facing an increased demand from students for courses and information on cryptocurrencies and blockchain. In response, universities have started to develop research centers, laboratories and even entire departments dedicated to these topics. In fact, 42% of the top 50 universities worldwide offer at least one course related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, with 22% offering multiple courses. Moreover, 70% of the universities were found to have already included at least some information related to cryptocurrencies in course materials. It is also worth mentioning that cryptocurrency- and blockchain-related material is also being taught outside of IT and programming courses and has been included in anthropology and financial courses.
