Following a presidential decree regarding measures to innovate the development of culture and art in Uzbekistan, blockchain technology will be introduced into the system of ticket sales for cultural and art institutions. The Ministry of Culture and the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts have been tasked to lead the ‘Unified Electronic Ticket System in Culture and Art Facilities’ project and will submit a plan for its introduction within the next two months. The system will introduce the minimum requirements necessary for electronic ticket use as well as the material and technical basis for issuing, recording transactions and verifying electronic tickets. It will also protect ticket sales operations from those seeking to mass buy tickets and resell them at higher prices.
