The biggest investors and beneficiaries of FinTech funding trends

Financial institution-FinTech funding trends have revealed that European financial institutions are the most active, both in terms of volume (53%) and value (47%), in working with and providing funding to FinTechs. Interestingly however, North American FinTechs are the companies of choice benefitting from this interest in FinTech, receiving the largest deals by volume (46%) and value (47%).

Asian financial institutions are also showing more and more interest in the FinTech industry and are beginning to emerge as investors. Asian financial institutions have shown a tendency to invest in Asian FinTechs over those from other areas of the world.
