Kazakhstan may introduce a national cryptocurrency before Russia

Kazakhstan may become the first of all Common Economic Space countries to introduce its own cryptocurrency, which will likely become a digital analogue of the Kazakhstani tenge (KZT). It is currently being developed based on the Stacis blockchain-platform. This platform was developed by Exante, a Maltese company hired to help develop the national cryptocurrency. In terms of its function (as an investment asset and not as a means of payment), Kazakhstan’s cryptocurrency will be close to that of the cryptoruble, Russia’s planned national cryptocurrency that is also under development.
